Roger Hiorns' crystal cave

seizureThe British artist Roger Hiorns presents Seizure, his latest art installation commissioned by the arts organisation Artangel.

Hiorns has transformed an abandoned housing estate near London’s Elephant & Castle by covering the inside with blue copper phosphate crystals.

Walking in this cave of sparkling blue crystals is an amazing breathtaking experience I highly recommend.

The complex creative process of filling the flat with 90,000 litres of copper sulphate solution has been documented and is available on IconEye, the website of Icon Magazine.

Hiorns' art installation is scheduled for demolition after the exhibition which ends on 2nd November. Don't miss it!

Four 70 feet high waterfalls will be erected in the East River and will be on display from mid-July to mid-October... A good reason to stop over in NYC this summer!

Fooding @ Marseille on June, 17th

fooding If you don't know what to do next Sunday and would fancy a fun, friendly and unusual food experience in the south of France, come and join us at "Le Grand Fooding d'Eté" in Marseille. Like all the happenings organised by "Le Fooding", this food and wine event breaks with a narrow and too conservative vision of the pleasures of the dining table and offer an opportunity to meet French chefs and try fantastic food in a relax environment for only 5 euros!

All info here: http://www.lefooding.com

UPDATE - I'll be spending the week-end in Marseille to see my friends who organise this happening and give them a hand. Drop me a mail if you're planning to fly over.
